I bought this for my husband as a gift as he wears a rash guard under his jiu-jitsu gi. It's tough to determine if a rash guard is good for jiu-jitsu as most rash guards are designed for, and reviewed by, people who do water sports. The ability to withstand sun and water is not very relevant in jiu-jitsu! However, this has been great - it's very tough: the seams are very well stitched so hold up very well. It's close-fitting but not too tight - I bought the large as that's the standard size T-shirt my husband wears and it fits very well. The material is also great for wicking away sweat and keeping cool during grappling sessions.
Also the long sleeves are very practical - during jiu-jitsu grappling bouts it's very easy for the gi sleeves to ride up and having a long, close-fitting sleeves helps prevent arms and elbows getting scraped against the mats. Plus the overall coverage of the long-sleeved rash guard is great if the mats aren't ......
