For the price, this is hard to beat. However, fitting might be kind of difficult. I find the neck to be kind of short, which would not be an issue if it weren't for the large bib. The bib rides up into the neck of my wetsuit and scrunches up, making it easier to flush water in. When buying the hood I was thinking that the bib would help keep water from flushing down the front of my suit. In retrospect I would have purchased a hood without the large bib(or preferably a suit with built in hood)...That said, the quality of the materials and build is just fine. Not spectacular, not poor.
This is my winter hood for surfing California central and northern waters. Fits great and keeps me very warm. Thick, but comfortable to wear and dries fast.
