I got this board a few years back when I had almost no experience. I had used the small wooden boards but that was it.
This board was awesome right from the start, it looks good, feels very solid and is very tough. I use to abuse mine to no end, crashing into waves, skimming in very shallow water, throwing it into my trunk and even trying to surf with it behind a boat. I did finally crack the nose hitting a brick that had washed up on the beach but I was still able to use the board post crack. It looked new after almost 2.5 years (minus the wax) and is still usable after 5 crack and all.
I used the board when I weighed 120-140 lbs and can still use it now that I'm 150lb although I do notice that I need to be going faster and lean back to travel into deep water. I am still able to catch a wave and ride it back in today. When I was younger and shorter I liked the size of the board it wasn't overly big like the large board and......
