Bought this poncho because I was tired of being cold when changing in the winter time (I'm talking those 40 deg and lower days). Yes, a towel works for changing out of a wetsuit just fine, but your body (waist up) is exposed to the cold air and wind, even for just those 5 min's it takes to change. With the poncho, you retain some body heat when getting into a the suit, when changing out of a cold wet wetsuit, nothing beats a soft terry cloth poncho. For those really cold days, I just put the poncho over the wetsuit and drive home with it on (keeps the car seats from getting wet).

Also got one for my girlfriend (she uses it year round) as she hates having to hold a towel with her teeth while changing in/out of her bathing suit & wetsuit.

I does shed a small amount, but what new towels don't.

Gave a bunch out as Xmas gifts to all my surfer friends & they love it.
Funny part is that now my friends girlfriends al......
