Bought this one year ago for my two kids, 6 and 7 years old. Really started using it this year as I had been teaching my kids on my long board. It is perfect for what it is intended for, which is learning the basics of how to catch a wave, stand and get the feel of riding. It is forgiving when my kids fall and hit the board (unlike my long board) and my son has really enjoyed it this year. It floats them well, and despite the comments about it's shape, it catches waves just fine for someone who is just beginning. The stomp pad is coming off (easily repaired with neoprene adhesive) and there appears to be some bubbling on the deck. Overall, it exceeds my expectations for the price and anyone who complains about it's performance needs to remember that this is a beginner board and perfect to ensure that your little ones like surfing before you graduate to something more substantial.
